Day Skipper theory
This course gives students an introduction to chart work, navigation, meteorology and seamanship. It gives would-be skippers the knowledge to take charge of a boat, and navigate around familiar waters by day. It is equally suited to sail and powerboat users.
The course assumes no prior knowledge, but given the intense nature of this course previous practical experience would be a bonus.
Assessment is by short practice exercises during the course, and two final exercises towards the end of the course. A course completion certificate is issued to students who successfully complete the course.
